Appreciation vs. Self Promotion

People do business with those they like and feel appreciated by.


Think about the last time you brought in your mail. Were you excited to see
an advertisement? Or was it the personal mail that you opened first?  Are you more likely to give your business to the merchant that sent a generic ad or one that sent a personal note thanking you for your business or wishing you a happy birthday?

In this day and age of google and instant information, your customers have plenty of choices. You can preach your advantages all day long, but if your customer doesn't feel appreciated and that their business is important to you, they will take it elsewhere.

In this high-speed internet age, people seem to have lost touch with each other.
